Chiemsee 基姆湖

Today was our marriage anniversary, we went to Chiemsee, Germany, and visited the famous Schloss Herrenchiemsee on the Herreninsel.

今天是我们小俩口的结婚周年纪念日，我们到德国的基姆湖游玩，在那里参观了男人湖上著名的海伦基姆宫。

Here is Chiemsee harbor.

这里是基姆湖港口。

There are two islands on Chiemsee, the big one is Herreninsel, and the small one is Fraueninsel.

基姆湖上有2个岛屿，大的叫男人湖，小的叫女人湖。

This picture was Fraueninsel, but we did not go to visit there.

像片中的是女人湖，但我们没有去参观。

It is the famous Schloss Herrenchiemsee.

这就是著名的海伦基姆宫。

It looked so empty in winter.

冬日里，这里显得格外冷清。

But inside the castle, it looked much nicer than outside.

而宫内，则比宫外更加气派。

On the wall is a picture of the french king Louis XIV.

This castle was built to his honour.

这座城堡是以他的名义建造而成的。

这里是镜厅。

It was a copy of the mirror hall of castle Versailles, but actually it is bigger than the original in France.

该镜厅是仿照法国凡尔赛宫里的镜厅而来的，但实际上要比法国的那个大一些。

The dining room.

这里是餐厅。

It has a big lustre in the center, which is made of porcelain and is extremely expensive. It took many working hours to make it.

餐厅的中央有个巨大的吊灯，该吊灯是用陶瓷制作而成，价值连城，当时花了很长时间才制作完工。

The salon has very nice furniture.

会客休闲室内的家具都是非常精美别致的。

While building this castle, the King (Ludwig 2.) went bankrupt and thus could not finish this castle.

在建造这座城堡的时侯，路德维格二世垮台，于是无法完成全部城堡的修建。

So most rooms are unfinished, as you can see here.

正如大家所看到的，还有很多房间尚未完工。

Ludwig 2. planned to build many other castles, of which 2 were finished.

路德维格二世计划建造许多城堡，但只有其中的2座完工。

Here is an early plan of castle Neuschwanstein, which was built and finished, and the final castle looks even nicer than this early planning model.

这是已经完工了的新天鹅堡的最初设计模型，但实际上建造而成的新天鹅堡要比这个模型上的漂亮许多。

After visiting Chiemsee, we went to Traunstein (Germany) to take dinner.

参观完基姆湖后，我们前往德国的一个名叫特朗斯坦的小镇吃晚餐。

We had some typical Bavarian food.

我们点了一些最具巴伐利亚代表性的食物。
