The fourth day in Czechia

Castle Hluboka

semi-overcast 26 °C

On our last day in Czechia we visited castle Hluboka, just a few kilometres north from Budweis.

100_6147.jpg

Before going there, we saw this nuclear power station of Temelin.

These 4 huge cooling towers just were built near the border between Austria and Czechia. It once made Austrian people scared, because they worried about the possibility of exploding.

However, when you see them in the landscape, then they even look a bit beautiful, and not dangerous at all.

100_6150.jpg

100_6154.jpg

When we arrived in the small town Hluboka, we had lunch first in a restaurant just a few meters from this nice small church.

100_6155.jpg

The dumplings and Sauerkraut were different with Austrian ones, but they all tasted not so bad, I liked them so much.

100_6159.jpg

Look, I was so happy to take such a delicious food.

100_6164.jpg

Later we went up to the castle, seeing the first parts of it when passing through a small forest.

100_6161.jpg

It was a very magnificent castle, each corner of it looked like a beautiful picture...

100_6176.jpg

100_6177.jpg

100_6181.jpg

100_6186.jpg

Hluboka is really a nice and romantic castle.

Unfortunately we had no opportunity to take pictures of the nice interiors, as photographing was not allowed there.

100_6214.jpg

100_6196.jpg

Before the main tour through the interior rooms started, we had some time to climb the castle tower first...

100_6201.jpg

100_6202.jpg

...from where we had a nice view on the park and surrounding area.

100_6203.jpg

100_6205.jpg

100_6215.jpg

100_6218.jpg

In Czechia, we baught one bear which named Sissi, and one hedgehog which named Nene. They were very cute, we liked them so much.

When my honey was driving, I put Nene on his shoulder and took a picture for them, looked so interesting.

100_6227.jpg

I took the picture with Nene by myself in our car.

100_6220.jpg

Sissi and Nene, hehe...

100_6233.jpg

Before we went back to Austria, we decided to take Czechia food for the last time. Then we drove to a small village close to the border, and took the dinner in a local small restaurant.

My honey ordered two sweet dumplings, very big and round dumplings, looked so funny. I made a fun of them, and said they looked like two D cup breasts, haha...

100_6235.jpg

I ordered this Palatschinken with banana and icecream, tasted very nice.

The third day in Czechia

Visiting Budweis and having BBQ again in the evening

semi-overcast 29 °C

This day we visited the biggest city in the south of Czechia.
It is called Ceske Budejovice in Czech language, or Budweis in German.

Budweis is most known for it's delicious beer, the "Budweiser", but is also a nice place for sight seeing and shopping.

100_6095.jpg

On our way from the parking site to the city center we passed by these beautiful churches.

100_6100.jpg

100_6102.jpg

This is the main city square of Budweis.

100_6109.jpg

100_6103.jpg

And this is the townhall, which has been restaurated recently.

Isn't it beautiful?

100_6105.jpg

100_6106.jpg

Some more impressions of the city square.

100_6101.jpg

100_6111.jpg

100_6107.jpg

100_6113.jpg

Later we took lunch in a restaurant nearby.

I had beef with bacon & mushroom sauce, and my honey had wild boar.

100_6119.jpg

Later, in the evening, when we arrived the hut, it was raining first. Waiting for about one hour, we started barbecue when the rain stopped.

100_6117.jpg

My honey was good at making fire, so it burned quickly.

100_6125.jpg

100_6127.jpg

Comparing with the barbecue of last time, this time was much better, because we were more skillful on managing it well, especially on making the food taste more delicious.

100_6130.jpg

My honey was trying to make the fire burning nicely.

100_6131.jpg

My honey was waiting for the right time to start barbecue.

100_6132.jpg

I applyed more BBQ seasonings on the food, and hoped it would make them taste much better than last time.

100_6136.jpg

Now it was getting dark, and we were already very hungry...

100_6140.jpg

Looking at such a delicious food, do you also want to taste? hehe...

100_6145.jpg

When we were eating, suddenly found some people playing the fireworks beside the lake. There were many different kinds of fireworks, but it was pity that I did not take enough pictures for them in time, just only two.

Looking at the beautiful fireworks, we felt so romantic, and made our delicious BBQ dinner much more wonderful.

Besides, this day also was a special day for my honey and me, because it was the 4th month of our marriage life. I do hope our marriage can keep happy forever!

The second day in Czechia

Visiting the historic centre and castle of Krumau

sunny 29 °C

Today should be a very nice day, nice weather, nice sight seeing, nice food...but unfortunately, after coming back from the castle, we found my honey's bag disappeared, the thief opened our car and stole it. Such a unlucky day! My honey said that it was his first time to encounter stealing, and almost could not believe. Because in Europe, the public security should be much more safer than Asia. But it was really a truth, we had to face the fact. However, it was also a good lesson for us, we will be much more careful where we go.

100_5942.jpg

In front of our hut, there was a quiet lake. Everyday we could see some people swimming, or lying on the grass and enjoying the sunshine.

100_5953.jpg

For entering the historical part of the city Krumau we passed through this big gate.

100_5959.jpg

100_5955.jpg

A first view of Krumau.

100_5961.jpg

Then we crossed a bridge and took the first pictures of Krumau castle.

100_5962.jpg

100_5968.jpg

100_5970.jpg

The inner city of Krumau consists of many small roads...

100_5966.jpg

...and lots of souvenir shops.

100_5972.jpg

There was a funny statue in front of a restaurant.

100_5979.jpg

100_5980.jpg

100_5985.jpg

After walking through some of the small roads...

100_5987.jpg

100_5974.jpg

...we went up to the castle.

100_5975.jpg

100_5994.jpg

Just below the castle entrance there was a bear in a big cage area, walking around slowly, looked like very lonely...

100_5997.jpg

Beside of the bear, it was its shit.

100_6004.jpg

First we went up the big tower...

100_6005.jpg

...which offered some nice views on Krumau.

100_6006.jpg

100_6022.jpg

100_6024.jpg

100_6025.jpg

100_6028.jpg

100_6029.jpg

100_6032.jpg

100_6020.jpg

Thereafter we had to wait until the main tour through the inner rooms of the castle started,

100_6035.jpg

so we just walked around a bit,

100_6037.jpg

until we could enter the inner rooms.

100_6009.jpg

100_6042.jpg

This carriage was only used for a single trip of the prince to visit the pope in Italy.

100_6046.jpg

The dining room.

The bedroom of the queen.

100_6065.jpg

The small theatre room.

100_6068.jpg

100_6073.jpg

Later we went to the upper part of the castle, to visit the castle's park.

100_6076.jpg

100_6077.jpg

100_6081.jpg

Such a cute fountain.

100_6084.jpg

100_6085.jpg

100_6086.jpg

Near the park we also could find some more nice views down on the city.

100_6087.jpg

100_6089.jpg

100_6091.jpg

This was Czechia local food, very special! They put the soup and sausaages into the hollow bread.

Sparber

"I will die soon..."

sunny 29 °C

This was my first hiking on the second day of my coming back to Austria. It was really a crazy way, because I should have a good rest, or just took some easy and short hiking, but I did not.

The Sparber mountain was very steep, totally we took about 6 hours (4 hours for hiking), almost could not believe I could survive. When I was going down, a small part of wet road made me fall down. fortunately it was not serious.

100_5280.jpg

This hotel was just in front of the parking place, a very nice and cute hotel, many people were eating outside, and enjoying the beautiful sunshine.

100_5296.jpg

100_5317.jpg

Sparber has two peaks.
This is the left, lower peak.
We climbed the higher peak on the right.

100_5329.jpg

After 2/3 regular hiking, the last 1/3 road had some special ladder ways...

100_5338.jpg

100_5345.jpg

The ladder ways were not difficult, and also not very steep...

100_5349.jpg

100_5348.jpg

On the 3/4 part of Sparber mountain, we already could see nice view of the beautiful Wolfgangsee...

100_5362.jpg

100_5367.jpg

Sitting on the top of Sparber mountain, the sunlight was very strong, so we had to apply more sun block lotion...

100_5380.jpg

100_5396.jpg

100_5381.jpg

On top we had a nice view down on beautiful Wolfgangsee.

100_5382.jpg

This was the thunderstorm clouds, according to the weather forecast, today might have thunderstorm, but actually did not!

100_5406.jpg

On the way of going down the mountain, we saw many goats. This one looked very old, but it was strange that how it could reach the top of the house, because there was not any ladder around the house. My honey told me maybe it had good jumping talent, hehe...

Tao Yuan Cave

Travel in Yong'an

semi-overcast 20 °C

Yong'an is my second hometown, because i grew up here. But for my honey, this city is still a little strange for him, although it is the second time to come here.

On the day before my honey left China, the mayor of Yong'an city and his wife specially invited and arranged us to Tao Yuan Cave. The mayor's wife went with us in person, and asked the best tour guide to introduce the famous scenery spot as detailed as possible. The main goal was to let my honey know much more about Yong'an, because on our wedding dinner, they saw our lots of pictures about the daily life in Austria, and found we all like travel and sports so much. That was the reason why the mayor decided to recommend Tao Yuan Cave to my honey, and hoped him would like the natural site of Yong'an.

However, we had not enough time to stay longer, it was very pity that we could not go to visit other beautiful scenery spots in Yong'an, so we had to leave them for the next time.

100_4569.jpg

100_4565.jpg

100_4601.jpg

The entrance to Tao Yuan Cave.

100_4603.jpg

100_4609.jpg

100_4592.jpg

Nice rocks.

100_4620.jpg

This bridge is just after the entrance.

All the bridges and paths at Tao Yuan Cave were lovely and in excellent condition.

100_4624.jpg

100_4630.jpg

100_4667.jpg

100_4680.jpg

This is the famous Ray of Sky.

100_4682.jpg

It had been written in the Guinness World Records.

100_4694.jpg

The "Ray of Sky" is a very narrow gap between two rocks at Tao Yuan Cave.

It's a pity that the pictures can not show it so clearly, but it's really very narrow and it gave me a warning not to eat too much in the future or maybe I won't be able to fit through when we want to come here again in a few years. ;)

100_4695.jpg

100_4705.jpg

100_4733.jpg

This picture shows nicely how the various sights and view points are connected by those comfortable pathways.

It's just a pity that it was a bit a foggy day, so it was not possible to take pictures of the whole area, as all distant objects were difficult to see in the mist.

100_4746.jpg

So beautiful green trees!

In Austria many of the trees are still without leaves at this time, but Fujian province is a lot warmer through most of the year.

100_4760.jpg

100_4762.jpg

This poem was written by Li Gang, whom was an ancient Chinese Prime Minister in Song Dynasty.

The main meaning of the poem was: Li Gang thought Tao Yuan Cave was a very beautiful place, and he was worried that there would not be many people visiting here.

However, nowadays, Tao Yuan Cave is more and more popular in China.

100_4771.jpg

So nice and clean is Tao Yuan Cave!

I hope to visit many more places like this when I travel to China again with my honey.

My first time to climb the real rocks

At "Hohe Wand" again

sunny 16 °C

This was my first time to climb the real rocks. Actually, I did not want to do it at the begining, because on the next day we would fly to China, I prefered to have a good rest at home. But my honey thought we should go outdoor in such a nice spring sunny day, and when we were in China, we would have not enough time to do some sports. I thought it was reasonable, so agreed with him.

Before this time, we always climbed indoor, it was quite different with the real one. Climbing indoor, we easly could take 5+ or 6-, but the real rock routes only were 2 to 3+, I already thought that it was a little difficult for me.

Besides, comparing with indoor climbing, when we climbed the real one, we needed carry lots of heavy things in our bags. It was also the one of the main reasons why I felt difficult to climb. Beause it was my first time, and I needed practise more to get used to the heavy weight and the real rock routes. But for my honey, he was much skillful than me, absolutely he could climb much faster than me.

We took about 5 hours to finish climbing the real rocks totally. When we reached the top of the mountain, it had already been dark and very cold. Then we had to put the lights on our heads, and spent nearly 1.5 hour to go down the mountain carefully.

This experience was really memorable for me, although I was extremely tired when we arrived home.

100_3819.jpg

Can you guess how much the weight of my bag?

I could not stand straightly...

100_3825.jpg

Carrying such a heavy bag, it was really very difficult to walk quickly, as well as was very easy to get tried and sweaty.

100_3867.jpg

Climbing the real rocks needs being very careful for the security, it is not a funny game, so we must make sure everything is safe, including wearing the safety helmet...

The safety helmet is not so much for protecting you when you fall, but rather for protecting your head when stones should fall down from above.

And really on this day there were some deer crossing our climbing route above, and loosening some stones which fell down the mountain.

However, luckily the stones fell a few meters to our left, so we did not get hit by them.

100_3880.jpg

Look, so complicated climbing tools.

100_3885.jpg

My honey was protecting me on the top...

100_3890.jpg

100_3902.jpg

I was protecting my honey below...

100_3907.jpg

100_3911.jpg

100_3914.jpg

100_3928.jpg

The picture looks more dangerous than it was.

Most parts of the route were not too difficult to climb. But if you fell down you still could have get hurt seriously.

Hiking in Wachau

sunny 17 °C

Today the weather was very fine, but very hot, about , could feel the early spring nicely!

100_3475.jpg

After parking, we found many pear trees with nice flowers around, but the pear flowers did not smell good, haha...

100_3488.jpg

Beside the pear trees, there were some peach trees, the flowers were much more nicer than pear flowers, and they were not smelly.

100_3495.jpg

Walking on the street in Wachau, we found some colorful flowers, very beautiful...

100_3508.jpg

100_3509.jpg

100_3522.jpg

Behind me, it was famous Donau river...

100_3525.jpg

Looking at the Donau...

100_3531.jpg

My honey and me were all enjoying the nice weather and nice hiking...

100_3533.jpg

Climbing is always one of my honey's favorite sports.

100_3535.jpg

" I am a powerful man!!!" haha...

100_3542.jpg

At that time, my honey was talking with me...

100_3543.jpg

What a cool man!!!

100_3553.jpg

100_3557.jpg

Here just was a small part of Donau. Because of againsting the sunlight, could not see it clearly...

100_3561.jpg

On this mountain, there are some destroyed castles walls...

100_3580.jpg

Standing at any places, we all could see the Donau nicely...

100_3610.jpg

I like this kind of blue and clean sky...

100_3617.jpg

100_3647.jpg

100_3654.jpg

We can see the Donau much more in this picture.

100_3663.jpg

There were many rocks around the biggest castle, and we also could find many people climing there...

100_3677.jpg

This was the biggest old castle in the Wachau, but it had already been destroyed so much...

100_3683.jpg

100_3686.jpg

100_3694.jpg

100_3695.jpg

My honey told me that one of the England kings once was put into this prison before...

100_3696.jpg

I tried to find the feeling for staying in prison, haha...

100_3706.jpg

100_3708.jpg

100_3712.jpg

Here was another small part castle, still could see the Donau clearly...

100_3717.jpg

100_3723.jpg

Haha, I was trying to pull the big stone down, not only using the hands to pull...

100_3724.jpg

but also using my legs, haha...

100_3727.jpg

100_3732.jpg

This was the full picture for the castle.

100_3764.jpg

100_3733.jpg

Linz

Short sightseeing in Pöstlingberg and Linz

sunny 12 °C

This afternoon, we went to the Mostbauer with my honey's dad. After eating, my honey and I went to the Pöstlingberg and Linz for short sightseeing.

100_3354.jpg

This picture was taken at the entrance of the Mostbauer. It is a little bit blur, or can see the Pöstlingberg clearly.

100_3371.jpg

This is the famous church in the Pöstlingberg. Last year, when i came here with my honey, we saw a couple taking a wedding in this church, very nice!

100_3376.jpg

This is the music hall in the city center.

100_3390.jpg

This is Linz city center square, a little like Vienna, but much smaller. We took some pictures from the different angles.

100_3395.jpg

100_3397.jpg

100_3408.jpg

100_3412.jpg

This is a China restaurant in the square, but I have never been there to try the chinese food, so I do not know how about the taste, haha...

100_3420.jpg

Actually, this church is behind the buildings...

100_3434.jpg

Half ancient buildings, and half modern buildings...

100_3426.jpg

The busy street...

100_3432.jpg

The city center in the sunset...

100_3428.jpg

This is the arts museum. The shape of this building is just so so, not so much special, but i like the color of the lights in the dark.

Schlenken

sunny 9 °C

Today was the first day of CNY, my honey and me decided to climb mountain, because it had a good meaning in China, on such a special day, climbing higher, could let us have good lucks in whole year...hehe, it just was a saying, but we really hoped it could be true!

The weather was very nice and warm. In this year, spring comes quickly, now already can find much new leaves coming out everywhere...

My honey told me, maybe this time would be our last time to climb snow mountain, becuase the snow would melt soon in such a warm day.

As for the melting snow, it was really too bad, made the roads very slippery. When we went down from the top mountain, there was a small part slippery road, i fell down for 3 times, got very dirty with the wet mud.

100_3167.jpg

Before we climbed the mountain, we had already felt too hot...

100_3170.jpg

Because we could not make sure if there would be much snow on the top mountain, so we carried the heavy snow shoes, just in case we needed them...

The weather was quite good, so nice and blue sky, there were not any piece of clouds...

100_3181.jpg

My honey and me wore the lovers shirts, the feeling was very nice.

100_3182.jpg

Not ready to take the picture, but still looked so natural.

100_3187.jpg

Just only climbed small part of the mountain, i had already been too sweaty.

100_3191.jpg

But still had some breeze, made me feel much more comfortable...

100_3205.jpg

Maybe the snows shoes were too heavy, and rubbing my heels for long time, so that my heels got hurt, and the skin was broken, very painful...

At that time, i thought i could not continue climbing, but fortunately, we had the medicine pasters, they were good for my wound.

100_3210.jpg

Actually, the mountain was not very steep, but had too much melting snows, we had to keep very careful to climb...

100_3221.jpg

100_3226.jpg

I really did not like this kind of road, too wet, too slippery. If i was not careful, then my shoes and pants would get very dirty with much mud and some disgusting bull shits...

100_3238.jpg

Really needed some rest, too tired...

100_3243.jpg

100_3249.jpg

100_3251.jpg

It was the top mountain, totally we spent almost about 2 hours reach there...

100_3253.jpg

The landscapes on the top mountain were very beautiful...

100_3256.jpg

My honey and me enjoyed the nice views...

100_3260.jpg

But it was very windy, and much more colder...

100_3264.jpg

100_3267.jpg

Began to take the picnic...

100_3284.jpg

After eating, my honey lied down, and enjoyed the nice sunshine.Making some faces, let him look much more cuter, hehe...

100_3285.jpg

I was also a little tired, and lied down for a while...For taking some pictures, still did not forget to make some poses...

100_3290.jpg

100_3299.jpg

100_3305.jpg

Ready to go down the mountain...

100_3306.jpg

100_3321.jpg

I was much more careful when i was going down...

100_3336.jpg
